Meet Our Staff

Dr. David Lancaster, Pastor

Dr. David Lancaster began his ministry at Green Point in March of 1994. He received his bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of South Carolina Upstate. After completion, he headed to Mid-America Theological Seminary in Memphis, TN where he received his masters of divinity. He now holds a doctorate of ministry degree from Foothills Theological Schools. Pastor David is married to Barbara and together they have two great kids, Bethany and Chad. He loves spending time with his family and fishing (when he gets the time).

 

Mr. Tim Hammett, Minister of Music

Tim Hammett came to Green Point in 1994 as the church organist. Later, he became the Minister of Music directing the Hallelujah Sanctuary Choir. He graduated from Clemson University with a bachelor’s degree in financial management. He and his wife, Lora, have two beautiful daughters, Krisila and Ansley. Tim finds it a pure joy to be raising his children in the midst of such a caring church family.

 

Mr. Cory Wall, Minister of Students

Cory Wall came to Green Point in April 2010 taking on the Minister of Students position. A graduate of Chapman High School and North Greenville University, he is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Christian ministry. After being saved during a revival when he was in the first grade, Cory surrendered to the call of ministry his sophomore year of high school at a youth camp in Cleveland, Tennessee. He’s excited about the amazing opportunities at Green Point and feels so very honored to be able to serve God’s people at such a loving church.

 

Teresa Mackey, Ministerial Assistant

Teresa Mackey joined the church staff in November 2005. Known affectionately around the office as Momma Mackey, Teresa makes sure everything is kept in perfect order. In her free time, she enjoys reading and traveling to the mountains and to Charleston. She resides in the Boiling Springs area with her husband Mike.

 

 

Ms. Edna “Boot” Black, Custodian
Boot Black has been the church custodian around here for at least the past ten years. When asked how long she has worked at Green Point, she responded, “I honestly can’t remember.” As one of our charter members in 1952, Boot’s been a fixture at Green Point ever since. There’s no better example than a hard worker and a willing servant. If you ever need to know anything, don’t ask the preacher or the secretary – ask Boot!

 

 

Ms. Lora Hammett, Pianist
Lora Hammett has been playing the piano at Green Point since 1980. She began when she was in the fourth grade playing for the Junior Choir. In high school, she began serving as the church organist and later the church pianist. She graduated from Converse College with a bachelor’s degree in music education and a master’s degree in education. She currently teaches math at Rainbow Lake Middle School. She currently resides in the Boiling Springs area with husband, Tim, and their two daughters – Krisila and Ansley.

 

Ms. Diane Pace, Organist
Diane Pace came to Green Point in 1997. Shortly thereafter, she began serving as the church organist. When she’s not on her bench, she works on the cafeteria staff at Boiling Springs Elementary. She enjoys spending time with her four daughters – Anissa, Anita, Katie, and Kelly, and one granddaughter, Angelica. In her free time, she is an an avid reader and loves watching reality television. Diane loves being apart of such a caring church family!
