Meet Our Staff
Dr. David Lancaster, Pastor
Dr. David Lancaster began his ministry at Green Point in March of 1994. He received his bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of South Carolina Upstate. After completion, he headed to Mid-America Theological Seminary in Memphis, TN where he received his masters of divinity. He now holds a doctorate of ministry degree from Foothills Theological Schools. Pastor David is married to Barbara and together they have two great kids, Bethany and Chad. He loves spending time with his family and fishing (when he gets the time).
Teresa Mackey, Ministerial Assistant
Teresa Mackey joined the church staff in November 2005. Known affectionately around the office as Momma Mackey, Teresa makes sure everything is kept in perfect order. In her free time, she enjoys reading and traveling to the mountains and to Charleston. She resides in the Boiling Springs area with her husband Mike.
Mickey Thompson, Children/Youth Minister
Mickey Thompson joined the church staff in 2014. He started visiting Green Point when his daughter played Upward Sports. He and his wife, Amy, fell in love with the church and the church family. Since joining the church, Mickey has helped start a Young Adult Sunday School class, and has been teaching for the last two years. He is an awesome father to his two sons, Christian and David, and his precious daughter, Abbie. In his free time, Mickey enjoys hunting, hiking, playing softball and golf, and spending time near the water (the beach or the lake).
Ms. Edna “Boot” Black, Custodian
Boot Black has been the church custodian around here for at least the past ten years. When asked how long she has worked at Green Point, she responded, “I honestly can’t remember.” As one of our charter members in 1952, Boot’s been a fixture at Green Point ever since. There’s no better example than a hard worker and a willing servant. If you ever need to know anything, don’t ask the preacher or the secretary – ask Boot!
Ms. Diane Pace, Organist
Diane Pace came to Green Point in 1997. Shortly thereafter, she began serving as the church organist. When she’s not on her bench, she works on the cafeteria staff at Boiling Springs Elementary. She enjoys spending time with her four daughters – Anissa, Anita, Katie, and Kelly, and one granddaughter, Angelica. In her free time, she is an an avid reader and loves watching reality television. Diane loves being apart of such a caring church family!
